Terms and Conditions 

By placing an order with Artlocke Designs, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

 

Orders and payment

 

All cake toppers are handmade and personalised to order.

 

An enquiry or quotation does not reserve a booking. Your order is confirmed only when full payment has been received, and your booking has been confirmed by Artlocke Designs.

 

Full payment is required when booking. Any additional items or changes requested afterwards may incur an additional charge.

 

Please ensure that all information supplied, including names, wedding dates and delivery details, is correct.

 

Artlocke Designs currently accepts orders for delivery within the United Kingdom only.

 

Handmade products

 

Each topper is individually handmade from polymer clay using the photographs and information supplied by the customer.

 

The topper will be a handcrafted interpretation rather than an exact miniature replica. Small variations in colours, proportions, positioning and details are a natural part of handmade work and are not considered faults.

 

Some details may need to be simplified or adjusted so that they are suitable and secure at miniature scale.

 

Photographs and information

 

Customers must provide clear photographs and all requested information by the date given.

 

Artlocke Designs usually requests the final details approximately five weeks before the wedding. Delays in providing information or responding to messages may delay completion of the topper.

 

Approval photographs

 

Approval photographs will be sent before the topper is baked.

 

Please check all details carefully at this stage. Reasonable alterations within the original agreed design can usually be made before baking.

 

Once the topper has been approved and baked, structural changes may no longer be possible. Only minor finishing adjustments may be possible after baking.

 

The customer is responsible for checking details that are clearly visible in the approval photographs.

 

Changes

 

Please request any changes as early as possible.

 

Changes are not guaranteed once work has started. Major alterations, additional pets, accessories or newly requested details may incur an extra charge.

 

Artlocke Designs may decline a pose or detail that is too fragile, unsafe or unsuitable for the materials used.

 

Cancellations

 

Artlocke Designs offers a full refund when an order is cancelled at least one calendar month before the wedding date, provided work on the personalised topper has not already started.

 

Where less notice is given or work has already started, any refund will depend on the work completed and costs already incurred.

 

As each topper is made to the customer’s specifications and is clearly personalised, the usual right to cancel simply because you have changed your mind does not normally apply.

 

This does not affect your legal rights if the topper is faulty, damaged or not as described.

 

Delivery

 

Toppers are normally sent using Royal Mail Special Delivery.

 

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address. Additional postage charges may apply if a parcel is returned because an incorrect address was supplied or it was not collected.

 

Please inspect your topper as soon as possible after delivery.

 

If the parcel or topper arrives damaged, contact Artlocke Designs promptly and provide clear photographs of:

 

  • the damage;

  • the inner and outer packaging; and

  • the delivery label.

 

Please retain all packaging and do not attempt to repair the topper before contacting Artlocke Designs.

 

Handling and care

 

Cake toppers are decorative keepsakes. They are not edible and are not toys.

 

They may contain small, delicate or pointed parts and must be kept away from babies, children and pets.

 

Always handle the topper carefully and lift it by its base. Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat, water and high humidity.

 

Artlocke Designs cannot accept responsibility for damage caused after delivery through dropping, mishandling, unsuitable storage, incorrect cake placement or attempted repairs.

 

Photographs of completed toppers

 

Artlocke Designs may photograph completed work for its portfolio, website, social media or advertising.

 

Customer-supplied photographs will not be published without permission.

 

Please contact Artlocke Designs before ordering if you do not want photographs of your completed topper to be shared.

 

Legal rights

 

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

 

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
